Plans to revamp the area around Sovereign Harbour in Eastbourne have been submitted to the borough council.

The proposals include up to 150 new homes, a community hall, a park, open spaces, shops and restaurants.

Sovereign Harbour Limited claimed the development could attract more than £80m in investment and create up to 1,500 jobs.

The plans were developed by a working group of councillors and residents chaired by Eastbourne MP Stephen Lloyd.
