A retired teacher has admitted 10 sex offences against boys at a former school in Sussex.

Christopher Robin Jarvis, 69, of Eastbourne, pleaded guilty at Lewes Crown Court to six counts of indecent assault and four of gross indecency.

The offences took place between 1966 and 1977 at St Peter's Preparatory School, in Seaford.

St Peter's, which was an independent school for boys, closed in 1982. Jarvis will be sentenced on 13 December.

He denied 14 other sex offences which the judge said would lie on file.

Jarvis was charged following allegations made in October 2012.
