Reward after man is shot in hand outside Crawley flats

Police are offering a £2,000 reward after a man suffered serious hand injuries during a shooting outside a block of flats.

Detectives believe the victim was fired at with a shotgun in Commonwealth Drive, Crawley, on 28 November.

He was traced by the force to a hospital later that evening.

Det Ch Insp Dave Wardley Wilkins said: "We are following active lines of enquiry and it is already clear that this was not a random attack."

He added: "This was a serious but isolated incident for the area.

"Local people have been reassured that there is no current risk to their safety and we are continuing our intensive investigation to establish what has happened."

A 38-year-old man and woman, aged 26, were arrested in Commonwealth Drive on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm but later released.
