Motorcyclist killed in collision in Rye

A motorcyclist was killed when his bike was in collision with a car and a van in Sussex.

The man, in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash in Harbour Road, Rye, at 15:40 GMT.

The road was closed while an air ambulance landed on the carriageway.

Essential traffic was diverted via a track running through Environment Agency land to Dogs Hill Road, Winchelsea Beach. Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
