Man stabbed in back during fight in Brighton

A man needed hospital treatment after he was stabbed in the back during a fight in Brighton.

Sussex Police said the victim was with two other men walking through the Pavilion Gardens when they were set upon by a large group of teenagers.

During the fight at 05:40 BST, the man suffered a puncture wound, thought to have been caused by a knife.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital but has now been released. Eight people were arrested.

They were questioned and have all been released on bail.
