Sussex man found guilty of importing banned weapons

A Sussex man has been found guilty of importing 22 stun guns disguised as torches into the country.

Aaron Davies, 29, from East Preston, was convicted of importing prohibited weapons in a trial at Chichester Crown Court.

Davies was charged after an investigation by the Sussex Police serious organised crime unit in 2013.

Officers had searched his home in Sea Road in May, and also a business unit where he worked.

At the time, officers said they had seized 15 stun guns and Border Force officers had seized a further seven from a parcel that arrived in the country.

Davies was bailed and will be sentenced on Friday.
