Two men have been arrested by police investigating a shooting in Brighton.

A 39-year-old man was shot through the front door of his home in Elmore Road last month in what is thought to have been a case of mistaken identity.

He suffered a non life-threatening shotgun wound in the attack.

Sussex Police said a 31-year-old man from Hove was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 24-year-old man from Brighton had been detained on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

A £5,000 reward has been offered by the force for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
