Wine worth £10,000 stolen in second Sussex raid

Wine estimated to be worth more than £10,000 has been stolen from a West Sussex warehouse.

Workers at the DF Warehouse in Brighton Road, Pease Pottage, discovered the break-in on Monday morning.

Between 20 and 25 cases of Bottega Rose, and 350 cases of Bottega Gold sparkling wine had been stolen.

The raid may be linked to a robbery at Bolney Wine Estate on Friday which saw about 5,000 bottles valued at more than £80,000 stolen, Sussex Police said.

Police appealed to anyone who may have been offered any Bottega for sale, or who saw anything suspicious, to contact them.
