Heathfield carpenter denies terror and explosives offences

A man facing terrorism and explosives allegations after firework materials were allegedly found at his home has denied the charges.

Benjamin Harris, a 30-year-old carpenter, was arrested after police raided his home in Highcroft Crescent, Heathfield, East Sussex, in March 2013.

At the Old Bailey, he pleaded not guilty to several counts of having or making an explosive substance.

He also denied possessing information likely to be useful for terrorism.

He pleaded guilty to breaching health and safety rules and possessing cannabis.

Mr Harris was granted unconditional bail to await a trial starting on 5 May.
