Janet Muller burning car murder: Second man arrested

A second man has been arrested over the death of a student whose body was discovered in the boot of a burning car.

University of Brighton student Janet Muller, 21, from Eastbourne, was found by fire crews in a Volkswagen Jetta in Ifield, West Sussex, on 13 March.

The man, 30, from London is being held on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Christopher Jeffrey-Shaw, 26, from Beckenham, south London, has been charged with Ms Muller's murder.

Mr Jeffrey-Shaw is due at court again on 9 April.

The cause of Miss Muller's death was smoke inhalation. Her body was found in the burning car in Rusper Road, just after 14:30 GMT on 13 March.

Ms Muller was reported missing from Mill View Hospital in Hove on 12 March.
