A gang has stolen thousands of pounds worth of cigarettes from a delivery driver in East Sussex.

Three men wearing high visibility jackets took the cigarettes from the van on the forecourt of a BP petrol station in South Road, Hailsham.

They ordered the driver to look away before they stole the haul and loaded it into a white Ford transit van just after 07:00 BST.

Police believe it could be linked to a robbery in Faversham, Kent, on Monday.

Detectives described the men as white and possibly Eastern European.
