Police want to speak to customers of a nail bar where a five-month-old baby suffered serious burns during a fire.

The boy, a 50-year-old man and a woman, aged 22, all related, were seriously hurt at Hollywood Nails in Hailsham, East Sussex.

Sussex Police said they wanted to speak to customers who may have spoken to the family before the fire on 4 March.

The man, thought to be the boy's father, is being treated as a suspect. He remains seriously ill in hospital.

Det Insp Neil Ralph said: "We are hoping people who visited the nail bar in the time before the fire or who know the family might be able to help us with our investigation.

"We have ruled out the involvement of anyone else in this incident. The information we have so far has led us to treat the man as a suspect in an assault investigation."

The 22-year-old woman and the baby have been released from hospital.
