An amnesty for motorists who are illegally using blue badges has been announced in East Sussex.

The initiative will run from 8 to 22 June, with several libraries being used as places where the motorists can hand their badges over.

East Sussex County Council leader Carl Maynard, said each illegally-used badge costs taxpayers thousands of pounds.

He said: "For those who continue to use the permit fraudulently, we will take action."
