Two charged with Crawley murder of Sam Caulfield

Two men have been charged with the murder of a 21-year-old who died after being stabbed at a flat last year.

Sam Caulfield, from Mayfield in East Sussex, was found with a single stab wound to the abdomen at a property in Crawley, West Sussex, on 18 June.

John Mitchell, 21, of Mowbray Drive, Crawley, and Macauley Lawless, 21, of Ifield Road, Crawley, appeared before Brighton magistrates earlier.

They were remanded in custody to appear at crown court on 10 April.

The two men were also charged with perverting the course of justice, as were Leah Delgado, 23, of Ifield Road, Crawley and Jessica Roberts, 25, of Spencers Road, Crawley.

Ms Roberts appeared at Brighton magistrates' on Thursday where she was bailed to attend Lewes Crown Court on 3 May.

Ms Delgado is due to appear before Crawley magistrates on 19 April.
