Three arrests in Gresham charity bag theft probe

Two men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of stealing charity bags on Teesside.

The two men in their 40s and a 30-year-old woman were arrested after their car was spotted being driven erratically in Gresham on Friday.

Police said two charity collectors for the Great North Air Ambulance were chasing the car on foot.

A large number of charity bags were found in the car. The three people are being questioned in custody.

Cleveland Police said they were also arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
