A 32-year-old man has been arrested over an attack outside a County Durham pub which left a security guard with life-threatening injuries.
Anthony Hancock, 42, of the Woodhouse Close estate, Bishop Auckland, was found on the pavement outside the Beehive pub on Saturday night.
The father-of-three is critically ill in Middlesbrough's James Cook Hospital, Durham Police said.
