Men bailed after firearms found in car in County Durham
Two men arrested after firearms were discovered in a car which was stopped on the A66 in County Durham have been bailed by police.
Durham officers stopped a blue and silver Mitsubishi Animal which was travelling towards Stockton on Thursday evening.
Two as-yet unidentified firearms were found in the vehicle and a 46-year-old man from Hartlepool was arrested.
Later a man, aged 49, was arrested in Darlington.
A spokeswoman for the Durham force said both men had been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
