Tow Law woman's death: Police suspect drug use at house

Police are investigating the death of a 39-year-old woman found unconscious at a house in County Durham.

The emergency services were called to the property in Coronation Avenue, Tow Law, on Friday night. The woman was taken to the University Hospital of North Durham where she died.

Acting Det Insp Neil Jones said officers believed that drugs were being used at the property.

Two men, aged 23 and 19, are helping the police with their inquiries.

"We believe drugs were being used at the property and are keen to speak to anyone who can help with this investigation," said Mr Jones.
