Stockton playground gets £70,000 overhaul

More than £70,000 has been spent modernising a Teesside play area and making it more secure.

The Blue Hall Recreation Ground in Norton now has four different types of swing, as well as a CCTV camera and new fences to improve security.

Stockton Council said the play area, between Norton Avenue and Leven Road, would also be locked every night.

The project has been funded by Stockton Council and the Provident Finance Good Neighbourhood Fund.
