Cat's leg amputated after Teesside airgun attack

A cat had to have its leg amputated after being shot with an air rifle on Teesside, police said.

The two-year-old, Tink, was let out by its owner on the Naseby Court Estate, in Brotton, near Saltburn, and returned injured early on Friday.

Cleveland Police said a vet examined the animal and found it had been shot with a pellet and needed the front left leg amputated.

Officers want to hear from anyone with information about the incident.
