James Cook Hospital nursery reopens after E. coli outbreak

A hospital nursery that had six confirmed cases of E. coli in August has reopened.

The Playdays nursery at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough was shut for a deep clean after the bug was discovered.

Five children and one staff member were infected, with a further 15 complaints of upset stomachs.

The South Tees Hospital NHS Foundation and Health Protection Agency are investigating the outbreak.
