Loyalty card to boost Redcar trade

Shoppers are being offered a loyalty card in a scheme to boost trade in Redcar.

Those behind the RedcarD initiative said it would encourage people to support independent retailers.

With the card, which is being launched by Redcar and Cleveland Council and the TownTalk organisation, shoppers receive discounts at nearly 50 businesses.

It is part of an ongoing project to increase trade in the town and promote it as a retail centre.
