James Burns admits causing death of Brandon Maggs in Teesside

A teenager has been told he faces jail after admitting causing the death of a nine-year-old boy on Teesside.

Brandon Maggs died in hospital after he was struck by a car in Ingleby Barwick, near Stockton, on 15 July.

James Burns, 19, of Norton, Stockton, was warned he faced a prison term, when he appeared at Teesside Crown Court.

Burns was granted bail by Judge John Walford and the case was adjourned until 27 January for sentencing. Burns was banned from driving until then.
