Man charged over North Ormesby attempted robbery

A man has been charged by police investigating an attempted robbery at a post office on Teesside.

Cleveland Police were called to James Street, North Ormesby, on Friday afternoon. They said nothing was stolen in the incident.

A police spokesman said a 34-year-old man had been charged with attempted robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.

He is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court on Monday.
