A 17-year-old boy has been charged with causing the death of two teenagers, who were killed when a people carrier overturned on Teesside.

Joshua Stevenson, from Ingleby Barwick, and Josh Hopkins, from Thornaby, both 17, died at the scene on the A66 at Thornaby, Stockton, in September.

Four other teenagers in the Toyota Corolla Verso were unhurt or suffered only minor injuries.

The 17-year-old faces two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.

He is due to appear at Teesside Youth Court on 19 January.
