Man pleads guilty to deaths of Joshua Stevenson and Josh Hopkins

An 18-year-old man has admitted causing the death of two teenagers when a car overturned on Teesside.

Joshua Stevenson, from Ingleby Barwick, and Josh Hopkins, from Thornaby, both 17, died at the scene on the A66 at Thornaby, Stockton, in September 2011.

Four other teenagers in the Toyota Corolla Verso were unhurt.

Arseng Rashid, of Hilston Close, Ingleby Barwick, pleaded guilty to two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.

He was granted bail and will be sentenced at Teesside Crown Court on 12 April.
