Jean Blakey named as Crook car death shooting woman

A woman who was found with her son shot dead in a car in County Durham has been formally identified by police.

Jean Blakey, 55, of Wheatfield Gardens in Crook, was discovered along with her son Ian Blakey 34, of Ennerdale Drive, also in Crook.

They were both found with gunshot wounds to the head in a car on Low Job's Hill, Crook, on Saturday.

Her partner of 26 years, Harry Mawson, paid tribute, saying he would miss her "every day".
