Man charged after pedestrian dies in Teesside crash

A man has been charged after a pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a car on Teesside.

The unnamed man died after the crash on Stockton Road, between Middlesbrough and Thornaby, on Wednesday.

A 55-year-old man has been charged with obstructing police. A 37-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, has been bailed.

A male passenger from the car is in Middlesbrough's James Cook Hospital with leg injuries.
