Ten people arrested in gun crime raids across Teesside

Ten people have been arrested in raids across Teesside linked to an ongoing investigation into gun-related crime.

Cleveland Police said the arrests were made on Friday in Hartlepool, South Bank, Grangetown and Brambles Farm.

Five men, two aged 39, the rest aged 41, 36 and 32 and a woman aged 29, have been charged with a number of violence and firearms offences.

Two further woman aged 31 and 33, and two men aged 31 and 22 have been bailed pending further inquiries.

A force spokesman said the operation was linked to an ongoing investigation which began in July last year.
