Boy, 16, dies after car crash in Billingham

A 16-year-old boy has died in hospital after being hit by a car on Teesside, police have said.

The crash, involving a pedestrian and a red Lexus happened at about 22:45 BST on Monday, on Wolviston Road in Billingham.

The boy, who is from the area, was taken to James Cook University Hospital with serious injuries. He died on Tuesday.
