Normanby attempted murder: Man charged after woman's throat cut

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was found on Teesside with knife wounds to her throat.

The 20-year-old woman was found at the old railway line near Flatts Lane, Normanby, at about 13:00 GMT on Monday.

She was taken to hospital and later discharged, police said.

A 20-year-old man was charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article. He will appear before Teesside Crown Court on 8 April.
