A new picture has been released of a man wanted in connection with an attempted rape on Teesside which left a woman badly hurt.

The 51-year-old victim was attacked in North Ormesby, Middlesbrough on 7 June, and suffered a broken shoulder and nose.

Cleveland Police want to speak to 26-year-old Romanian Cezar Florea, in connection with the attack.

They have warned the public not to approach him, but to call 999.

The woman was attacked on the A66 North Ormesby flyover near Lytton Street, at 06:00 BST as she walked to work.

Mr Florea is said to have links to the Stockton, Middlesbrough and London areas.

Det Insp Mark Dimelow, of Cleveland Police, said: "Officers are working through any information that comes in and we are asking the public to keep their eyes peeled for him.

"The photograph issued today is taken from social media and we know that it was taken just a few months ago."
