Driver pleads guilty to Billingham cyclist death

A Middlesbrough man has been warned he faces a jail term over the death of a cyclist on a Teesside road.

Robert Graham Devlin, 55, from Linthorpe died on Haverton Hill Road, Billingham on 17 November.

Appearing at Teesside Crown Court, Timothy McLoughlin, 45 and of Strait Lane, Stainton, pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving.

The judge said it was "almost inevitable" he would be jailed when he is sentenced on 2 October.
