A new purpose-built IVF unit has opened its doors at a Teesside hospital.

The new facility at the James Cook University in Middlesbrough brings all reproductive medicine services together in one place.

Previously the unit was divided into different sites within the hospital and shared a theatre with obstetrics and the gynaecology day unit.

The unit now has its own theatre. A spokesman said having everything on one site was more convenient.
