Police investigating the murder of a 79-year-old woman are appealing to trace a television missing from her Hartlepool home.

Norma Bell died overnight between 2 and 3 April prior to a blaze at her home on Westbourne Road.

Cleveland Police said a Digihome 49" black LED TV with Freeview which was in the box in Mrs Bell's living room prior to the murder is missing.

A 32-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder remains in police custody.

The television had been bought in November 2105 as a present for Mrs Bell's grandson.

Police have appealed to anyone who may know the whereabouts of the television or anyone who may have been offered it for sale to come forward.
