Cyclist William Angus killed in A689 Greatham crash

A cyclist has died after a collision with a car near Hartlepool.

Cleveland Police said William Angus was pronounced dead at the scene after the collision at about 17:30 BST on Thursday.

The crash happened on the eastbound carriageway of the A689 at the Greatham turn off.

Mr Angus, 58, was from Hartlepool, officers said. They are appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact them.
