Police treating Middlesbrough woman's death as suspicious
The death of a woman in Middlesbrough is being treated as suspicious, Cleveland Police has confirmed.
A post-mortem examination has concluded the 42-year-old, who was found in a house in Farthingale Way in Helmington on Friday evening, died from a head injury.
A 73-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail as police continue their inquiries.
A spokeswoman said officers were supporting the woman's family.
