Three men charged over Willington Quay shooting

Three Wallsend men have been charged with conspiracy to murder after a man was shot in North Tyneside.

Paul Borg, 25, suffered wounds to his leg in Willington Quay on 19 August.

Terry March, 30, of no fixed address; Philip Croney, 22, of Balmoral Street; and Michael Curran, 30, of Edwin Grove, Wallsend, were charged on Friday.

Appearing before North Tyneside Magistrates' Court, no pleas were taken and all three were remanded in custody.

A fourth man arrested has been bailed pending further inquiries.
