Man, 52, dies in A68 Northumberland road crash

A 52-year-old man has died in a collision in Northumberland.

The crash happened shortly before 1015 BST on Monday on the A68 between Riding Mill and Slaley Hall.

It involved a white refrigerated box van and a flat back dropside lorry, which was parked on the side of the road.

The driver of the refrigerated box van, a 52-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Nobody else was hurt and no other vehicles were involved.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
