Woman charged over North Tyneside airgun incident
A woman has been charged in connection with an incident in which an air weapon was seized on North Tyneside.
Police were called to Burnside Road in Whitley Bay on Tuesday morning following what were described as "concerns about a resident".
The 20-year-old woman was charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence.
She appeared at North Tyneside Magistrates' Court and was remanded in custody.
Two men were also arrested.
One of the men, aged 44, was later bailed pending further inquiries and the other, a 55-year-old, was released with no further police action.
