Cheryl Cole's brother Andrew Tweedy jailed for robbery

The brother of Girls Aloud star and X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has been jailed for his part in a robbery at a Tyneside post office.

Andrew Tweedy, 30, admitted being involved in the armed raid on the Hailsham Avenue branch in Longbenton, in May 2010.

Appearing at Newcastle Crown Court, Tweedy, of Heaton, Newcastle, was sentenced to six years.

He had admitted conspiracy to rob and possession of an imitation firearm.
