Gateshead baby died of 'head injury'

An eight-week-old baby boy whose death is being treated as murder died of a head injury, a post-mortem examination has revealed.

Logan Ormston, of Montrose Crescent, Gateshead, was taken to hospital on Saturday and died the next day at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary.

A 23-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of his murder and has been bailed, Northumbria Police confirmed.

Tests have shown than Logan died of a head injury, officers confirmed.
