Charges over 'contaminated' drugs in South Tyneside
Five men from South Shields have been charged over the supply of drugs which left several people in hospital.
Five people needed treatment after an incident in the town last December, which police said was linked to the supply of contaminated drugs.
The men, three aged 18, one aged 24 and another aged 21, have all been charged with drugs-related offences.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said they were expected to appear at South Tyneside Magistrates' Court on 19 May.
