Morpeth man charged over woman's crash death

A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a crash in Northumberland in March.

Claire Dickman, 24, of Eighth Avenue in Morpeth, was a passenger in a Vauxhall Vectra which left the A192 at the town's Barmoor Bank and crashed.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, in the early hours of 31 March.

The 23-year-old Morpeth man, who is also charged with aggravated vehicle taking, will appear before magistrates in Bedlington on 29 June.
