Three suffer stab wounds in Gateshead house attack
Three people are in hospital with stab wounds after they were attacked in a house in Gateshead.
Emergency services were called to Cranesville, Beacon Lough, near the Queen Elizabeth Hospital shortly after 0200 BST.
Northumbria Police said two women, aged 19 and 36, and a 22-year-old man were seriously injured and taken to hospital with stab-type injuries.
Police said those involved in the incident knew each other.
An investigation is under way and police appealed for witnesses.
