Cullercoats revamp plans views sought
Plans are being drawn up to breathe new life into a Tyneside coastal village.
North Tyneside's elected mayor, Linda Arkley, said £1m each year over the next three years had been allocated to regenerate coastal areas.
The focus in the first year will be Cullercoats Bay, and proposals include developing its heritage links and improving signs and beach facilities.
A meeting will be held on Wednesday for people to give their views.
Cullercoats' links with American artist Winslow Homer are already being developed. Other proposals are improvements to the boatyard off Victoria Crescent and Huddlestone Street subway.
