Disused Hartlepool factory blaze 'was deliberate'
A fire which severely damaged a former cake factory in Hartlepool is being treated as an arson attack.
Residents were advised to stay indoors because of thick smoke during the blaze at the building on the Oaksway Industrial Estate on Wednesday evening.
Thirty firefighters from Cleveland Fire Brigade took three hours to bring the blaze under control.
Cleveland Police said it believed the fire was started deliberately and appealed for information.
