Four men arrested after Newcastle gunfire

Four people have been arrested after reports a gun was fired in the Armstrong Road area of West Newcastle.

No-one was injured during the incident which took place at about 17:00 BST on Sunday, when police received a report a firearm was used.

A 33-year-old man was arrested for possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Three men, aged 27, 28 and 37, were arrested for conspiracy to cause GBH and all four men were later bailed.

Det Ch Insp George Duff said: "It's believed all of the people involved in this incident are known to each other and it's part of an ongoing dispute. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing".
