Skimming device found on Prudhoe cash machine

People who have withdrawn money in a Northumberland town have been warned to check their bank accounts.

It follows the discovery of criminal "skimming device" on the cashpoint outside the Co-op in Oakfield Terrace, Prudhoe, on Saturday lunchtime.

Police said it was not known when it was fitted, but was believed to have been there throughout the morning.

They urged anyone concerned about whether they might have been have been affected to contact their bank.
