Sister in court charged with murdering brother in Ferryhill

A County Durham woman has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of her brother in Ferryhill.

Ashley Gray, 24, died from a stab wound to his chest in Darlington Memorial Hospital, following an incident at a house on High Street on Friday night.

Claire Gray, 21, from Coniston Road, Ferryhill, appeared before Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court earlier on Monday.

She is due to appear at Teesside Crown Court on Wednesday morning.
